about

Glasgownian keyboardist Ray Harris and his Fusion Experience band have created a unique sound that mixes dancefloor jazz with funk, soul and elements of latin and Brazilian music. Having gained notoriety also thanks to a long series of live shows, including a lengthy tour of South-East Asia, The Marlborough Jazz Festival, Glasgow International Jazz Festival and many of the best venues in the UK, there is no doubt that this group has a solid number of performances under its belt, making their sets some of the most explosive out there.

After releasing their self-titled album on RK, being the protagonists of a remix competition of single “Scaramunga” and having covered James Brown’s “Soulful Christmas” for a special limited edition Christmas 45, RAY HARRIS & THE FUSION EXPERIENCE now launch “Live Impressions”, an album that was recorded live at various festivals and events between the Summer of 2008 and that of 2009. From the originally penned cuts such as “My Last Chance”, “There’s Nothing Like You” and “Freedom”, to the cover of Rusty Bryant’s “Fireater” or Booker T & The MGs’ “Green Onions”, this digital release puts you in the front row of some of Ray Harris & The Fusion Experience’s most memorable shows!
